Knitting Alert

I'm not quite sure if I need coffee, a puppy, or just more yarn.

Eight pieces of red squares are ready to be sewn into a quilt. I'm still working on the first purple square. I'm expecting to get about eight or nine pieces out of each ball. So my idea is to take my time and enjoy the whole process of knitting, instead of rushing through the process to get to the finished project. Once I'm done all the squares I'll start sewing them together. The shop that I bought the yarn from is still closed, thanks to the lockdown, and once they open I'm going to bulk buy yarn balls, in purple and red, as well as possibly another colour or two, for my quilt. We'll see how it goes. Knitting has become a form of theory for me. It helps me calms my mind and even though I'm often tired after my shifts, too tired to do it when I get home from work. This has lead me to explore when I have the energy to actually do it. I've taken to putting my knitting into my bag to take to work with me, to knit during my breaks. It's a great way to help me stay awake during the hour's break I get. Otherwise I may fall asleep and sleep through my break (which is something I can't do).

Since I'm still struggling to find good guides for the left-handed knitter, I'm sticking to the only way I currently know. If you know of any good teaching material that is aimed at the left-handed knitter, please do get hold of me and let me know! So far, I haven't found anything that has been of any help with the whole process of learning other styles of knitting.

Until next time.
