I Got A Job!!!

Walking across the field, dead grass crunching underfoot. There's not a cloud in the sky as the weathermen's predictions of high temperatures, basically another heatwave, comes true. There is a breeze but it does little to ease the discomfort of the high temperature. Amber warnings cover most of the south east of England, the area I call home, with promises of running through until Friday. Its a warning to all of us to look after ourselves, to avoid heatstroke and sunburn, whilst staying dehydrated (something I've been failing miserably at recently).
Traveling home from a weekend with my parents and my mum's family, after Sunday's reunion, I longed for peace and certainty. Traveling through London, a city I lived in and loved was hard, I have so many good memories from the year and a half I lived there. I used to dream of going back to London because I still love that beautiful city that needs God; but God has moved me on now.
Going back to this desire for peace and certainty that I've been longing for; one of the biggest uncertainties was my job, or the lack there of. I've had to learn to trust God to provide for me in every way, especially financially. It really hard knowing that I'm running out of time, financially, because my savings account isn't a bottomless pit and it was getting dangerously low on funds. A massive answer to prayer was that my tax rebate came through (I'd claimed that when I thought I had that job in Brighton). That money has been a huge help!
My journey of waiting for a job has been a long one, or at least it felt like it has been, but the waiting is finally over. On Sunday night I got a call saying I had been successful in getting a job with none other than McDonald's in Crawley. I'd had an interview with them last week and was told that there were two positions that three people had applied for, so I was hopeful. It was my preference to work with them rather than at Gatwick Airport (due to the tedious process of trying to get clearance to work Airside). I was, and am, thrilled to be working and earning money again, though I honestly don't know what to expect. I didn't think I'd end up working for McDonald's.
I heard about having been successful with getting this job whilst I was with my mum's family, as I had traveled up to Suffolk with my dad to spend the night at my aunt and uncle's as they had organised a reunion at their place. So most of my mum's family spent the entire afternoon eating, drinking and hanging out together in the garden and enjoying the beautiful evening. It was lovely seeing everyone again. On Sunday afternoon I decided to travel home on Monday morning, to save myself half an hour of travel time.
