Adventures With Family

"In the midst of movement and chaos, keep stillness inside of you." Deepak Chopra

The last time I posted, I was about to head to see my cousin, Amanda, before heading to see Andy. I had an amazing time away. Amanda and I haven't really been close due to my having lived in overseas, and all the travelling I've done over the years. However, we've gotten a lot closer over the last few months after having gone through a very similar set of circumstances. It was her birthday on September 9th and it was the first time I'd been able to celebrate it with her. We had so much fun together, along with Jason, Taylor and Candie (Amanda's partner, her son and her son's girlfriend). Candie, Amanda and I had our nails done together, so I'm trying to write this with fake nails. Over the few days I was with Amanda we went shopping, had dinner out, and went swimming. Its the first time I've gone swimming in a very long time.

Then I headed to see Andy. His job has meant that he's has to travel quite a bit. So we try to see each other over the weekends. I went straight from Amanda's to the hotel near where Andy's been living. We spent two days together, just hanging out. We went on a long walk on the Saturday. I took my camera with me and I'm planning to upload the photos into my photo page. I'll let you know when the photos go up. It was really special and I'm so glad that I got to spend that time with him.

On the job front, I have had some interviews, for social and care work. Due to have experience in care work, it means that I've got my foot in the door. I've got some interviews lined up. Due to the state of the United Kingdom's economy at present, there are certain jobs that are more likely to get hit by the looming recession, mainly those in the retail and hospitality departments. So even though I am applying for everything I can, I'm hoping to get a job in care work.
