The First Few Days

Three days into working in the care home and I've been thrown into the deep end. I've done things that I wasn't expected to learn this early on, and I'm enjoying it. It's intense but I'm enjoying it. We lost two recruits on that first day, five of us started but only three made it through. It was because of the intensity of the job. I'm not going to write an awful lot about the details of the job, partly because of the type of job I'm doing, I don't feel comfortable writing details about my new job online. The other reason is because its still early days. We've had the weekend off (as well as Bank Holiday Monday) and we get our rotas at some point this week. I'll keep writing regularly over the next few months as I settle into a routine between home life and working the night shift.
