Travelling

Wherever you go, go with all your heart. - Confucius
Ash the Grumpy

Over the next few days, I'll be taking a break from the job hunting. I'm going to spend sometime away with Andy as well as seeing my cousin, Amanda. Amanda and I haven't seen each other in ages, thanks to lock down and all that. Its her birthday and I'm going hr way to celebrate with her for a bit. I'd already booked this weekend off from work before I got sacked and thus wanted to still get away from the job hunting and the craziness of suddenly being unemployed and having to deal with all of that. Its difficult, I can tell you. I still miss the residents at the care home, and I miss the work, the busyness of it all. I think it's going to be a continued journey of acceptance as it came as such a terrible shock. I'm not bitter towards them, not in the least, I just need to finish processing the shock of suddenly being let go. So in a way having some time out, away from Horley, will do me a lot of good. It'll give me a chance to rest and reflect. As well as being able to spend time with some of the people who matter in my life (my family).

I'll write more about all the adventures once I get back next week but just thought I'd through this up onto the blog before I head out the door.
