You are the artist of your own life. Don't hand the paintbrush to anyone else.

Sometimes, God allows things to happen to us to remind us that He is all powerful. In the last few weeks, even the last few days, we have been gripped by two things. Fear and COVID-19 (otherwise known as the coronavirus) has swept through England and the world. Things seem to have settled down a bit as the British Government have brought in some protective measures in order to slow, if not stop, then slow the spread of the virus. People are encouraged to stay at home. They have also asked the people to avoid going out, going to the shops or exercising sparingly. With only single excursions out of doors per day. They have also asked us to maintain a distance of at least two metres separation. I had to go to the supermarket today, and was surprised to discover that people were queuing through the side of the parking area. I discovered, upon nearing the entrance, that the supermarket had been instructed to allow only 59 people into the supermarket at any one time. It didn't take too long to make it into the entrance of the store as there was a security man directing people into the supermarket as others left. He had to direct people to the end of the queue as there were some who seemed to think that people were just standing around for no reason. The shelves were fuller than they were last week but there were a few things that were still noticeably absent (like toilet paper).
In other news, I'm still looking for work. The virus has made it difficult to find employment with all the shops being closed, unless deemed necessary to sustain life. I had been using the computers at the two libraries (one in Sussex and one in Surrey) I'm a member of, as I didn't have my own computer to use. A phone can only be used to a certain degree, but some jobs that I've been applying for require the applicant to fill in a few forms on the careers page of that company. This becomes difficult when texts came in that required immediate answer, thus forcing me to leave the app I was in and loosing any progress I had made. In the end Andy and I were able to find a laptop that was bought with money that someone had left for me when they'd passed away. This has definitely improved on my job hunting. As I write this, I had two interviews (still no news on either) and one offer for a temporary job as an office cleaner, but that too has been postponed. So the job hunting continues.
An interesting side note for you, dear reader. I have recently suspended my Facebook account until further notice, but not Messenger. So you can contact me through Messenger if you've contacted me through that before.
