Photography & Blipfoto

Photography is an art of observation. It has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them. - Elliott Erwitt

For those of you who have been friends with me for years, you'll know how much I love photography and sharing the pictures I've taken. Photographs have the same power as a thousand words, or so I believe. I love the beauty and power that photos share. They show us the honesty of the world in a way that words just doesn't have the time to paint the same idea. I'd mention that over the last century photographs given us, at home, a window into the wars and the world, from our homes. Both the World Wars have been photographed as well as the smaller conflicts and massacres that took place during the second half of the twentieth century. Photographs also show us the power of all the good in the world, all the beauty. This is one thing that I've always aimed to share with you. Not only on here but also on Instagram and Facebook as well as my all-time favourite platform, Blipfoto.

Blipfoto is a photography platform, that allows you to post a photo against the date it was taken. You don't have to post a photo every day, but a lot of the members do. It provides a more public photographic journal. I love it. I first joined in 2013, but due to going through a spat of several new phones in 2019, I had to stop. It took a while for it to hit me how much I missed the community aspect and sharing the photo a day side of it. So 0n 19 October 2020, I decided to rejoin Blipfoto. So far, I've posted every day since then. Often the photos I've posted on here, are also posted on there. The link to my profile is here. Do feel free to check out what I've shared.

Until next time.
